On Paper Wings

Fire Balloon (←link)

"On paper wings" is a documentary film which was made by an American woman (Below) Illina.

It took 5 years to complete this film and spent a lot of money.

She donated two DVD to TIS library. If you would like to watch this, your child can borrow it from our library.

We had very meaningful conversation.

Kinako Daifuku

I let children sample this mochi with bean paste.

All four kids love this flavor.

Yellow sprinkles are called KINAKO.

Mochi is called DAIFUKU.

If you have a chance to go to UWAJIMAYA, H-MART or other Asian glossary stores, you might be able to find it.

Back poster says,

"Kilian, Elisabeth"

"Japanese Proficiency Test"

"Congratulation on your success"

Keiko-sensei helped to make this.

No doubt they can pass the Level 3 on November.

Wells Fargo History Museum

There were not very many exhibits at the museum. But they told us many exciting histories.

Wells Fargo Stagecoach
This looks obviously faster vehicle than regular wagons.
This vehicle used to carry people, letters, gold.....

Cain's dad, Tyler took us for a short tour to top of the Wells Fargo building which is the tallest building in Portland. We saw many buttons in the elevator.

At the very top of the building.
