Media Literacy / Guest speaker: Linda Bonder

We are learning "Media Literacy" on PYP Social Study class.

Central Idea : The media can positively and negatively influence our behavior

To reach our central idea, we have collected many advertisements and then we analyze the "Media Technique".

We learned lots of techniques from Linda.

I need to discover some attractive activities inside the classroom...

Kids are really happy to be outside. That is really good.

Takoyaki Party

Takoyaki pan. It works with electricity.

Takoyaki mix

Takoyaki sauce

Dry seaweed topping

Eggs

Mixing Takoyaki mix, eggs, and water

Pour them in the Takoyaki-pan

Keep flipping the Takoyaki balls

This part is the most interesting part for kids. It does not go well.

Kyle put a really hot Takoyaki ball into his mouth. I can tell he is so happy about it.

Takoyaki balls look great! and taste wonderful.

I have never seen my friends and kids' friends who don't like Takoyaki.

It is a good party activity.
